“Some example carvings read “J.C”, “EASTER” , “W.M”, and “F.B”. I’m assuming the J.C stands for Jesus Christ, who was a pretty big figurehead in the Catholic Church, and perhaps Easter stands for the holiday “Easter” in which Catholics celebrated the rise of Jesus three days after his death on the cross.”
